6x8’s, 7x8’s, or 7x9’s. German Stacks shall have a total of 51 ties in five courses arranged with nine parallel ties per course along with one perpendicular stringer tie. The top fifth course shall have two perpendicular stringer ties.
Flat (Tram) stacks shall have a total of 44 ties in four courses. There shall be nine parallel ties per course along with two perpendicular stringer ties. Flat (Tram) stacks of 8’ long ties shall consist of 40 ties. There shall be eight parallel ties per course along with two perpendicular stringer ties. Tolerance of each tie no less than 1/4” under-size thickness and up to one over-length.
